Betrothed

This is an excerpt from Braidens email to me this week. I laughed so hard I cried when I read this.

"Ok, so last story for the week. I have been ordered by my district leader, a Mexican elder who only has three months on his mission left, by the name of Elder Medina to talk to you about him. He was looking through my pictures and found the picture of you that you sent me. I then might have told him about your gymnast career and he might have possibly decided that he wants to marry you. But don't worry, his companion saw the picture and decided you have the most beautiful eyes he has ever seen. In any event, he wants you to know that he wants to go to BYU, so he will probably be in the US within a year, and that he can do the human flag thing (where you hold yourself horizontal on a pole). Anywho, now I can tell him that I talked to you about him, and you can hopefully feel loved and get a good laugh."

Wow. Apparently I'm getting married. I am so glad the "human flag" trick is what he wanted me to know about him. Sounds perfect. ;)

Number 46

Feed the ducks.

Sometimes my friends and I go on super adventurous bike rides from Lehi clear to a lovely little duck pond by Lone Peak. Sometimes we let Jackie lead the way, (which is always a dumb idea, FYI) and she takes us up this super steep trail in the middle of nowhere, only to emerge to an even steeper giant sand/dirt hill. Then of course she decides we need to go down it, which was more than a little perilous, mind you.  Finally we get to the cute little pond and feed the ducks. (Check!) The rest of the trip consisted of waterfalls and water fights, kicking Vicky off the island because he can't do a cartwheel, awkward polygamy pictures, hiding in bushes, rescuing caterpillars, playing "last man standing" (which I totally won, by the way) on a fence, and Jackie not getting us lost on the way home. My friends are pretty much the greatest.

Number 30

Get caught in the rain.

Some friends and I went to the temple yesterday afternoon. Aw, aren't we cute? ;)
And on the way home...this happened. Emily happens to have a super fun convertible Jeep which we love to ride in...most of the time. It rained. We were in our church clothes. If we hadn't been in skirts I'm sure we would have thrown our hands in the air and screamed with the radio up, but as it was, we were definitely caught in the rain.

Morp 2012

I know this was forever ago, but better late than never, right? Right. It was girls choice so I decided to take Ian. It was so much fun! The theme was Footloose, so I let my mom relive the glory days and have free reign on my hair. It was very authentic. ;) Thanks for the fun night Ian! :)

Kenzie's Sweet 16

It was Kenzie's birthday on Saturday, so we took all of our craziness to party it up in Salt Lake. We had so much fun! Thanks Kenz, and happy birthday! You're basically one of my favorite people in the history of ever!
I love these girls so much!
Signature faces in front of the temple!
Genie pants! I know they're hideous, but they may be the most comfortable pants I've ever worn in my entire life!

The Garden Restaurant was very tasty if I do say so myself; and look how pretty the food is!

Yep, that is a fried pickle. Feel free to be jealous. Best. Day. Ever!
P.S. This counts for number 9 on the bucket list.

The Garage Door Ultimatum

My family is officially the coolest. Actually, I feel really stupid right now, but I'm sure it was really funny to watch. It all started when the hail came pouring and my family stood in the doorway to watch, as well as several neighbors, including the ones across the street. Then the bets started. I don't know why I am always the prey to their vicious pranks, but I usually am. So there we were, sitting in the doorway watching the hail pound down when my family starts making bets. Here's how they went:
Braiden: Two dollars if I make it to the across the street neighbors lawn.
Braiden: Five dollars if I make it to their garage.
Mom: Seven dollars if I steal the rain gutter Brother Ward just ran out to adjust.
Dad: Ten additional dollars if I get struck by lightning on the way.

Well folks, I'm five dollars richer and very wet.

Hungry Hungry Hippos

How many people does it take to assemble a game of "Hungry Hungry Hippos"? You know, the classic children's game? Turns out more than my next door neighbor who is in first grade. In fact, it takes a first grader, a high school valedictorian, a school teacher, and a pharmacist. Who woulda' thunk?

Wanna Go Swimming?

Alright folks, don't forget your water wings! April showers bring May flowers.....and large lakes? This was my backyard about three weeks ago. My brother wouldn't get back into the water because it was so cold, but the water was almost up to his knees in the back corner. The neighbors were a little concerned about him as they looked out their windows and saw him in his swimming suit pulling chords (that were supposed to turn the pumps on) out of the lake. It was probably about 30 degrees outside. Well, at least all that water wasn't in our basement as it usually is when there is flooding. Let us pray that the run-off from the mountains does not run into our basement this summer!

Destruction

Izzie and Claire. They are so cute and look so Innocent, but don't let them fool you. Just take a look at these toys purchased a mere week ago. Yep. Last Saturday, we had a whole duck and a whole frog. Now look at them. The duck has lost both it's feet, all its stuffing (which has been a pain to pick up seeing as it was scattered through the entire house) it has been torn open and shredded. The frog is in somewhat better shape. It has just lost two legs, and some stuffing is gone, but other than that and the small hole in the back, it is mostly together.  The tag said "durable"... I wonder what they thought the dogs planned on doing with them. Obviously, they did not anticipate a few games of tug-of-war.

Thanks Guys!

My Birthday. I didn't know it was my birthday, well that is until I was scared out of my wits by loud voices booming in my sleeping head. I was having the most pleasant of dreams when all of a sudden my dream world disappeared in a flash and my closest buddies were lined up around my bed. Yep. I jumped. High. Then I looked at my clock, realized it was 5am, and I would apparently not be sleeping in. It was worth it. We went to Ihop. We were good children too! We didn't make messes for the waitress. I was proud. After this great event in my life, we decided the people at Ihop had not been punished enough by our presence, so we decided to be a nuisance to all the old people shopping at Wal-mart at 6:30am. We had fun. I'm not entirely sure how to sum up the Wal-mart event unless you can see it...so please refer to the pictures for explanation.
These bouncy balls were a dream come true! They are yellow and green. What more could one want!?
Barbie and Ken are finally getting married. Its about time!
Barbie's are fun at 6:30 am. Even the creepy video ones!
Who is this?
I fit in the time out box!
"Pop the Pig." Does anyone else find this even remotely disturbing?
Hey Ryan, maybe you could use a few pages in your wedding binder? ;)
Last, but definatley not least, WE FOUND FRUIT! Yes, we had to take a picture of course.

P.S. Thanks guys! You are pretty much amazing! Thanks for doing this for me! You are all great!

P.S.S Sorry it took me over a month....my computer wasn't loading these pictures.

Romeo, Oh Romeo!

9th grade Honors English. Its pretty much one of my all time favorite classes. Why is it one of my favorite classes you may ask? It might sound a little nerdy, I know, but it's not what you think. Ok, it's totally nerdy. You see, we have this really awesome student teacher. Mr. Trevor Preston. He is pretty much the greatest. He put 5 teenage girls who happen to be very good friends on the same table. To his defense, he didn't know, but hey, we aren't complaining. As long as we get our work done, don't distract the rest of the class, and are good when his advisor comes to test him, he doesn't really care what we do. For instance, we are almost finished with our Romeo and Juliet unit. We listened to the book on tape, and the voices are all super cheesy. We constantly made fun of them and their strange kissing noises. The fun however, did not stop there. We watched the movie! Leonardo Whitie, we love you. You are a much better Romeo than the wierd guy on the tape. In fact, you actually moved Chalae to tears ;)
Don't be extremely grossed out, ok? But yes, five teenage girls did in fact eat all these starbursts....plus cookies...plus chocolate....ok, maybe it was a little gross.
Ya...we used the shorts to hide our food from the rest of the class. Classmates are vultures. I'm not entirely sure why Chalae had them in her bag, but she did. You see, after the food was gone, we were left with 5 very hyper girls and a pair of shorts with nothing better to do....Chalae, I pretty much love you!
Thank you English, for giving me something to look forward to on B-days!

No Guilt!

I hate the dentist.... a lot. I hate shots.... a lot. When my dentist is giving me shots, well, lets just say it doesn't go so well. :) My mouth has been really numb since 4:30pm and I have hated it! My mom made a really, really yummy dinner, and was I able to eat it? NO! Then I bit my tongue. It doesn't hurt.... yet, but don't you worry, it will tomorrow morning! My jaw hurts like crazy though! When was the last time you held your mouth wide open for two hours straight!? My bottom half of my left side is just starting to tingle. I have the top half completely numb, and the bottom half tingling and hurting like no other! Yet, I still like to look at the bright side of things. You know that feeling when you eat three bowls of ice cream? You know, the guilty, slightly sick one? Well this is my third bowl of ice cream, and it is as soothing as ever! I know its gross, and it will hit me in the morning, but why not enjoy it while I can? :)

Practically Almost Sisters!

My friends are the best in the world! We can be anyone or anything and act anyway and we still love each other! This is particularly important because we are in no way shape or form what people would call "cool." In fact, we are pretty much dorks. We are losers at heart! We are probably the most immature people on this planet! We talk about anything that happens to pop into our mind when we are together. We talk about boys, and school, but we also talk about letters, sitting on power boxes at the elementary school, and of course, STRETCHY PANTS!!! Yes, we are not normal, and its ok because we are almost practically sisters.
The most recent event of the sisters happened this weekend. For all you sisters who I deeply love, here are the highlights:
1. Pulling moves over oranges.
2. Eating soup out of bread bowels.
3. Secret talks in secret passage ways.
4. Wondering what normal people were doing at the time of.... never mind.
5. Writing immature letters to immature boys.
6. Hitting marshmallows against the rocks to get the fire out so we can eat them.
7.Singing non-stop! (sorry guys!)
8.Do you feel awkward? Yes I feel awkward!
9. STRETCHY PANTS!
10. How do you say stretchy pants in french?
11. Fashion modeling the clothing articles behind the couch. (Thanks guys, I'm glad we did that :)
12. Setting Goals
13. Secret Oaths.
14. I swear on my big toe!
15. He has really ugly muscles!
16. They're back! Lets go inside!
17. Locking people out of the house. (sorry dear! I'm glad your bag was still inside)
18. Little sisters. "I'm sorry your boyfriend did that to you!" "What boyfriend?I don't have one!"
19. Notes from the summer..... lets bury them!

Izzie Shall Be Cursed

Abbie and Izzie have very similar interests. Izzie likes to be the baby of the family, Abbie likes to be the baby of the family. Abbie likes to be my constant companion, Izzie likes to be my constant companion. Izzie likes Abbies chicken nuggets, Abbie likes Abbies chicken nuggets. Izzie likes to wake me up, Abbie likes to wake me up. Abbie loves Abbies toys, and Izzie loves Abbies toys. The toys were the cause of the contention today. Abbie walked into the living room where I was sitting on the couch with Izzie asleep on my lap. I looked up to see Abbie with a compleate look of horror on her face. With trembling fingers she slowly picked up a littlest pet shop off the floor. She examined it then shot the dirtiest death glare I have ever seen at Izzie. She looked at me and declared, "Izzie has chewed the tail of my bunny!" She promptly turned around and mumbled under her breath as she walked down the hall, "Izzie shall be cursed!"

We're Here!

Finally! We are here! Summer has arrived! I do not have to go back to school until August. Hallelujah. This year has been really great, but I'm sooooo glad its over! The last three days have been filled with nothing but fun, fun, and more fun! To sum it all up it consisted of burning homework, lighting things on fire, eating non stop, a long, scenic 7 mile walk all over Lehi, secret clubs, peach-os, stake dances, yearbooks, writing novels, fun inside jokes, picnics, sitting on power boxes, losing to Parker, Trevor, and Jason at eagle crest :(, tramps, picking out dieing spots, phone calls about dogs, me falling asleep while Parker tells us stories, and much much more! Please don't try to understand. My friends are great, and I love them!
